What do you guys honestly think about girls who can keep up with guys in humour, athletisim, drinking and all those other typical guy things? I am very feminine looking and dressing wise but I get these comments meant to be funny about how guyish I act. Is this a turn off? I try not to act this way around people I have dated but when it comes out sometimes and has seemed to cause problems. I don't intentionaly try to bust guy's balls I just like to have fun too.
Bella: Though your entry is titled 'chick with a dick', I gather from the rest of your entry that you are female. I say relax. I have plenty of respect for athletic females. Athletic females are sexy and also tend to have generally healthy lifestyles and attitudes. The only problem I have there is that I've gotten a bit out of shape, and there are plenty of women who can out-hike me, out-jog me and so forth. This is a problem that I have to deal with, not by a putdown of the woman in question, but by buying a gym membership and working out and jogging regularly. That is, I have to improve myself rather than put others down. If you find yourself swearing like a trooper when you're out at the bar, that might not be a good thing, unless you are a trooper. (Some women are, these days.) I saw a good ad one time. It said, "Want him to be more of a man? Try being more of a woman." I can't speak for everyone else but I find sweet, innocent types attractive. A guy who is too insecure to deal with an athletic woman, or too chauvinistic, which amounts to the same thing, is probably not a good choice for a romantic partner.
No. But examine yourself a bit closer. For every girl that actually is one of the guys, there are a dozen chicks who tag along. And that is annoying
I do swear like a sailor when I drink and when I don't I am pretty sweet and quiet. I just went on a vacation over the weekend and found hanging out with my friends husband and clamming, talking and doing shots with him more fun than hanging out with my gal pals. On the way home he commented that if I wasn't 'so pretty it would be a waste for me not to be a guy'. He wasn't flirting his wife was there and they are swingers so she was not jealous or anything. Hah and I am def female.
If that is who you are, what's wrong with it? I am female but I don't see it has a problem. Be whatever you are most comfortable being and those who don't like can fuck off
When girls display humour guys tend to try to one-up them as oppossed to sitting back and enjoying the joke. In my experience a lot of guys I have dated are uncomftrable when I make their friends laugh more than they do. If I am alone with a guy who is very insecure he can't seem to handle it and finds a way to cut my joke down. If I am with a secure guy he laughs his ass off...untill he's in front of his friends and I take the attention away from him.
I don't see any of those things you listed as inherently masculine. I have no problem with girls who act that way.
