I like my long hair, but I have to cut it because it makes my face really oily. I use conditioner and everything, but my face still gets oily. I get zits because of it too. Does any one know what to do?

well, conditioner is used to actually add oil to your hair. maybe if you meddle with you shampoo/conditioner ratio it could balance your hair out. see, my sister has the same problem, while i have exactly the opposite problem (i dont have ENOUGH oil!) she uses shampoo more often than she does conditioner. also i should note that the "all conditioner wash" fad for your hair that seems to be popular on this forum only works for people with extremely dry hair. just remember- shampoo subtracts, and conditioner adds.
if its waay oily i would try mixing a teaspoon of baking soda with a mug full of water and washing your hair with that, and rinse it with a squirt of lemon juice in water. (you could even do this in the sink, i did!) but i would only do it about once a month, because ive read that it could really damage your hair if you do it on a regular basis.
phew! sorry this was so long, but i hope it helped!
    merry christmas!

Before I killed my hair with dye, I had VERY oily hair. Hence my introduction to Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Soap (thanks to my earth momma grandma). She told me to dilute it with water in a cup and wash my wash with it....and it worked. If you use a conditioner in the shower, condition first and then wash your face to get any residue off your face.

That makes a lot of sense. Usually I go and wash my hair and then wash my face after I have let the conditioner set on my hair but I think I will give ur idea a try. I been havin a lot of oil in my hair these days and its been makin me break out.......we will see what happens:)

tie your hair back. really, I had the same problem in high school.
also, using aloe vera as a gel seals the oils inside, so they are not in contact with your facial skin as much.
Dr B's works wonders, as Autumn said. try it with crushed asprin for extra blackhead removal.

Does anyone know what Dr. Bronners would work best for acne scarred skin? that's STILL acne prone? lol I really want to try this stuff out but I don't want to waste money on one when I could've gotten a better one.

tieing your hair back will help. Also, about once a week or so, give yourself a facial.... the whole mudmask thing. I've oily skin too, and every morning before I wake up and before I go to bed at night I go over my face with some cotton and Clean & Clear... it helps keep your skin clean and considerably fewer zits kick in.
