    Did anyone watch this?
It was so so so good, I thought. Beautifully fimed, especially for a TV series, and funny, sad and intersting at the same time. Aww, theres a lot of love for it, indeed.

(oh, and on a side note, it made me ADORE the song Fiji Baby by Goodshirt - so bittersweet and lovely, awww)

Yeah, I love that show, and the "butterfly effect" idea was really good, very original. :)

Do you mean the idea itself, or the way they used it?

(beacuse the idea isn't theirs - it's better known as Chaos Theory and is quite a well known concept - in fact I think there is a movie with Ashton Kutcher called "The Butterfly Effect" which deals with a similar concept)

Still, if you mean the way they used then I very much agree - it was such a hard programme to predict (which I love). The last episode was really, really sad, but in such a bittersweet way. *sigh* I can't for another series.

The way they used it, because it isn't exactly the most original idea, but they just used it to such great effect.

I'm looking forward to the next series too... I don't think it can come fast enough!

OMG thats my favorite show ever.

i have watched it since the first episode, only missed a couple (due to work Grrr)

but yeah i agree, the cinematography is second to only movies, and the story lines are very good.

its a cross between a cartoon with weird scenarios, a soap opera, and a self discovery show.

its very captivaitng and i love it to death. not to mention but i have been in the apartment of the guy that got robbed in the show when the guy became best mates with this other guy. it was a very cool apartment, and represtented some fun times in my life LOL.

I don't know what show you're talking about, being stuck in israel, but one thing I WILL tell you... Get out the movie The Butterfly Effect with Ashton Kutcher. One would think it was crap but its actually not. I saw it here (with hebrew subtitles which was amusing) and I really enjoyed it. there is actual acting.

when it comes out either at the movies or on video I will, it does sound interesting.

    Also, cool for you Doug.

And my favourite scene of the whole series? It was that one at the start of the second to last episode where tess is in bed with michael and james is with tina...fiji baby is in the background, and it was one of the sweetest things ever.

Oh, and their gimp dancing when they found out she was preganant was very funny.

BTW, tamsyn, the insiders guide was a drama series filmed in welly - it was really, really good. Basically it was about 8 people whose lives all interconnect but they don't know each other necessairly, and they get more and more tangled together as the show goes on. It combined ordinary, almost soapish drama with philosophy and paranormal stuff and it actually worked. it was awesome.

I never watched this, but after hearing people rave about it, I really wish I had. I was having drinks with some people last night, and EVERYONE was stressing about it. Ah well, guess I'' have to wait for the 2cnd seiries.

I watched the show a couple of times and thought it was unique especially to NZ TV, although one night after getting drunk and watching it, it kind lost its touch to me.

I felt it started out brilliantly, and then it went downwards; descended into too much Pop-Culture-religion from what was an absolutely flawless beginning.

It was good, I won't deny that for a second - but I also think, from a story-lining p.o.v. it could have been stunning with bit more work.

Admirable acting, agreed: GREAT use of filters with the cinematography.

Nice to see 'I See Red' finding it's way to a younger audience after all these years too. Some songs never die.

I see red will forever remind me of 2003 at Carrington. That and "Stuff and Nonsense", the live version from 7 World's Collide. (a beautiful, real song about love, that everyone HAS to hear btw).

I thought Insiders Guide did get a little wacky, but i liked that. They balanced it enough with real scenes - like Tess and Matts bung dance - for it to be real yet escapist.

and I saw the Butterfly Effect last night...It was good, Ashton Kutcher surprisingly so. A good ending too, I thought. Nicely un Hollywood.
