When is the last time you had the flu?

I can't even remember the last time I had the flu. Probably a good 12 to 15 years ago.

 

Probably 7th or 8th grade....and I'm just shy of 23, so I'd say 9-10 years, at the least.

 

10th grade...it was bad. i threw up in school.

 

Jesus you people are healthy. I get the flu every year. Except for last year, which was the one year I DIDN'T get a flu shot.


I'm not planning on getting one this year either.

 

Make no mistake, I'm not healthy. I just don't get colds. I'm sure my lungs and liver are fucked though.

The flu shot is a fuckin' scam. Flu shot = injecting a controlled amount of the influenza virus into your body to give your immune system a heads up. Yeah well, no thank you. That's like getting a pre spanking so hopefully the real spanking wont hurt as bad. Fuck that shit.

The last time I had the flu was New Year's Eve '98.... had to turn down an invitation to an awesome party because I felt like C-R-A-P!!!

 

I had gotten the flu shot a couple times and didn't get the flu. The past few years I didn't get the flu shot and I didn't get the flu either so I think I'll continue going without it.

Oh.... and I get plenty of colds that turn into bronchitus and sinus infections- just not the flu.

11 years ago over Christmas, we both had it and had to take care of ourselves. NASTY. I've had one cold since then maybe.

I don't remember ever having the flu. Stomach bugs with vomitting, yes, but true influenza, no.

What I get is bronchitis/pneumonia. I haven't had that in almost 5 years. I know the exact date, because I had it when giving birth to my son. You know, one of those times when you really need to be able to breathe...

You know...the more I really think about it... I wonder if I ever really even had the flu either. I remember being sick from school- like elementary school for a few days to a week and having a fever and stomach ache.....but nothing really bad. Okay, more I think about it, I think one time it was bad so it must have been the flu but I don't really think I ever had the flu except for that one time. Mostly everything else I think was either a cold or a 24 hour or 48 hour bug. Yep.

 

yea, i was taken to the doctors and he said i had the flu

not to say i agree with all his diagnosis that i get, but i agree with that one. he said i had tendonitis and bursitis in my right shoulder - from what i've learned since then, i've come to the belief that many general doctors know shit about diagnosing an area like that

I win! I had it Thanksgiving, bitches. From the day after my 20th birthday (November 20th) until the next Wednesday (the 28th). Extreme suck. Me and Daniel both had it and I got dehydrated which ended up making me throw up. Lots of fun.

 

Last time, I think it was about a month, maybe add a half to that, ago. Before that I was about 15. It sucks!
