But . . . How does one give up one's desire to help others,
Without it being a loss to all?

THe 'all' you speak of.. result in piss in my face.
Most, are not worth the effort..let them wallow in their ignorance.

They are not a social group..
Bankers and politicians, lawyers. whitecollars. and blue collars.
the poor and the lost. And especially the religious.
a great proportion, Ignorant.

Should occam spend his life trying to enlighten those who are to lazy to think.?

When it comes to this subject there doesn't seem to be an ultimate answer. In my case, i'm just baffled by it all..lol.
I got a slight shock the other week. An online friend told me she prays sometimes when she's down or anxious about something. I don't think she prayed to any given god though, maybe she was being spiritual at that given time because i always thought she was atheist..lol.I'm sure you've all heard the stories about how ppl, when they're at their lowest point suddenly find god?..Maybe it's a case of "When there's no one to help you, you try and connvince yourself to believe", even if its for a moment.
What i don't get about praying is this: If you or i pray to something thats accepted as god its ok but when we talk to walls or tv's we end up in Springfield Psychiatric hospital, where, inccidently, you'll find ppl speaking out loud to god a lot of the time

Occam has a friend and we are gonna start a new religion.
The perks and benefits are MAJOR.
We just need to tally our stories and mana will fall from heaven
for we will be a Religious MINORITY, the most powerfull of social entities.

Occam agrees. To an extent.
if he cant help others.
How can he help himself.
To exist is the greatest gift.
But to exist surrounded by those who dont see existance as
anything but a 'thing to endure'
Is mind boggling in it's implications.
