Hey there friends in Vermont.... A friend and I are renting an RV and doing a trip to VT, NH and ME in June. We are looking for campground suggestions. We would love a place that has large wooded sites, privacy, a real outdoorsy feel (versus the golf course lawn open space RV parks). We wanted to stay in Central VT so we can do Ben and Jerry's (I know, I know) and Cabot creamery. Any suggestions for places to go or things to do? We'll have our 4 wild and hairy boys with us, so child friendly. Any suggestions? Thanks! Mik in CT
I live in Rutland, which is near all the beautiful areas to camp in Killington and Brandon. I would recommened the area near Branbury, which is near Lake Dunmore. They is a beautiful HUGE waterfall there called the Fall of Lana, which was named when the French explorers came by all those years ago. Long trail is amazing, which is in Shrewbury, very close to the airport (RRA). Rutland is a very nice little city, although it is growing abit in the outskirts...ouch, losing its homey touch, lots of new hotels...I like Vermont the way it was!
