I'm going into nursing and am thinking of working in Vermont for a year. Are there any hospitals that you would consider great places to be ? Any reason you'd say that ?

Fletcher Allen Healthcare Center is in Colchester, about an hour north of Burlington.

    There is also this link:

    http://www.vahhs.org/lucie/hosp.html

It has a list of all of the hospitals in Vermont and their addresses and numbers.

Mind you, these aren't the busiest hospitals around.

Fletcher Allen has, If I remember correctly something like a 4 or 5 bed ICU, though I might be getting that confused with the hospital up in Calais, Maine.

    Good luck with your search.

    Hmm. I was wrong.

Fletcher Allen is the largest in Vermont, my mistake.
I got it mixed up with Calais, my bad.

    Still, good luck anyways.

Rutland Regional Medical Centre is amazing. It's beautiful and new(ish) and has a lot of new offices being built around it. It's a great hospital.
