POD hope your feelin well, good thing its winter ,time to rest a bit.
Teepi how are you sister glad to see your still painting, nice to here from you.

Yup Yup, i got my BS out of the way now and am concentrateing on my photography.I got some show openings to do this winter. Hopefully be showing in Chicago by spring.Heres what ive ben showing at musiums and gallories. Its the first faze of my movement study, next faze is movement of plants and nature.heres the link

Ben at the garsens alot ,planin for spring,i got my garlic beds coverd with straw and the display gardens burned down.
Sence mom passed our work load trippled so we are makeing a comunity garden space. I used to plant it(probly still will) but with the 4 garlic beds (15,000 plants) and now the cottage gardens and desply gardens i dont think ill have time to get my veggies in this year. Ill still plant a few.( never fails evry winter i say this but by the time spring comes i cant stand a garden thats not planted and just plant it) We are workin with the university to get some students involved in a comunity garden .That should help, maybee free myself up a bit so i can do my side projects like mushrooms and a chickin coop (oh ya we need chickens). We sold all the retail inventory from the garden shop (the barn)and we are makeing it into a place for folks can gather and enjoy the gardens. Its startin to look like a lounge, got the old woodstove goin, and we are makeing a creative area in the back ware my potters weel and kiln is.Should be a fun space.

Annyway hope all is well with you,Did ya get your winter crops in.?
As Allways peace and love and sunshine to you

    Hey Frog,

Yeah, been and still am having 3 or 4 unrelated health problems. One is a form of
Trigeminal Neuralgia [ http://www.tna-support.org/newlook/definition.htm ], also a hiatal hernia [ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hiatus_hernia ]. and a yet undiagnosed problem with pain in my left thigh. At least they've stopped talking about cancer (except maybe skin cancer). So I'm a long way from back to full speed. But it's good to hear your still kicking.

    Peace,

I'm sorry I've been away for awhile. :( I read the other earlier thread also. Glad to see Frog back on his feet, and I hope things get better for Poor_Old_Dad too. You guys have helped me tremendously this year. It was reassuring reading Pearl's ..pearls of wisdom! :) Take care, POD!! You're in my prayers. Truly all the best, and do keep us updated.

Thanks for asking - my project is coming along nicely. I got about half the garden area dug before it starting raining/getting too cold and I couldn't go furthur. The compost is still coming great - I've been adding from the kitchen and turning it regularly. A friend of mine is actually putting up a greenhouse on her property, so I'll probably be starting my plants with hers in there!

I'm on my way to veganism and I work on all this, so I'm looking forward that much more to having all those fresh veggies at my fingertips. Thanks again for all the help you provided!

    Feel better, Linnea hummbleBee

Well people, lovely garden projects abound! POD and Woodenfrog glad you're both doing better. Woodenfrog, Community gardens are just the greatest esp if you can link with other similar projects and seed share etc. I love the concept that you want people to come and just enjoy the gardens too... I project managed a Community Garden at one time and we built a "Garden Room" so that people could come and enjoy the garden and have a gathering.

I am going back to the mainland tomorrow. We had really bad weather over Hogmanay and where I live got the worst of it. I don't know what the damage is like but a friend of mine who lives a few miles away in a more sheltered spot said it was bad. I planted apple trees and pear trees before I left a couple of weeks ago. I am hoping they'll be ok. They are still quite small.

Wishing everyone all things good and happy and healthy harvests for 07
