After much research, Ive settled on attemping progressively stronger doses of a Daniel Siebert tincture sold on the internet as an introduction to salvia. Anyone familiar with the use of sublingual absorbtion tinctures? I get the impression that it may not have much effect, at least for the first few uses. Any ideas, suggestions, or actual experience of tinctures? thx x
Sorry, thats a little cryptic...are you saying I shouldnt bother, or that the tinctures are a waste of time? Or is it so effective that Ill have more than enough? thx.
Tinctures are less cost efficient than smoke, you spend more per dose. and you don't get the same intense experience, it's milder and longer lasting. or so I've heard. I've thought about buying the tincture too, so I'm also curious to hear reports from people who have tried it. IAmShaman has it for about half the price of Siebert, is that a good product or should we go with the best? or are they all too mild and disappointing?
I understand. Ive purchased a 1/2 ounce of siebert's tincture; Ill let you know if it does anything. Ill move up to the more intense, smoked dosages once ive got my feet under me. Sounds like smoked salvia is hot smoke, and you have to smoke a possibly large amount of it to get a strong effect; I try to avoid smoke if I can. Im still half believing that the whole thing is going to be one of those "herbal remedies" for baldness, breast augmentation, or male enhancement , which are completely bogus nonsense. I hate falling for scams...and given the aggressive nature of the DEA with regard to making designer drugs illegal almost from the moment they hit the streets, Im not sure I see why salvia is still floating around, unless, again, its a scam... :dupe:
Just chew the leaves instead, or make your own tincture since it's so simple to do. Here's how to make your own: Get some high proof alcohol and some salvia leaves. Grind up the leaves, put them in a mason jar, cover the leaves with the alcohol, and shake it every 15 minutes or so for about two hours and then let it sit for a day, then just strain out the liquid and there ya go! Unfortunately, tinctures aren't nearly as potent as simply chewing the leaves. A friend of mine tried using the tincture and it didn't even work at all for her... As far as I'm concerned, Seibert's Salvia merchandise is severely overpriced to the point of insanity.
