How long does it take you from where you live to where you study or work ? And if you go by train or subway: Can you get any work done while sitting in there ?

I live right by center city Philadelphia, PA and I work in a town outside of it, about 1 hour drive if I hit traffic, about 35-40 minutes if it's late night or early morning hours. I drive and I just listen to the news station :)

Since I live in two different places and have two different jobs, I have two different commute times. I live fifteen minutes driving distance to one job and five minute walking distance from another.

unless you count going to the gym as commuting, which takes 10 minutes if the bus is slow

my work is usually about 10-15 min drive, school is roughly an hour bus ride including transfers, sometimes longer depending on connections :( At least I can use that time to read or listen to music, but the bus is usually too crowded to spread out homework and work on it there.

Exactly a one minute work... maybe 2 minutes if I want to take out my trash and check my mail at the office.

It takes 30 minutes for me to get to school, 20 if I drive the way I like to. 30 to 45 minutes to get to town - or longer depending on traffic.

3 minutes by car, 15 minutes by bike, 45 minutes on foot to Dairy Queen from my parents' house. From the house I shall be residing in within the next month, it's about a 2 minute drive, a 10 minute bike ride, and a 30 minute walk. It's also a lot easier of a path, in a low-traffic area, along a road that almost goes straight to it. I can't wait to move.

It depends on the traffic, anywhere between 30mins to over an hour by bus to uni. I could also take the train and that would take about 5mins but walking to the station would take lots longer and in the mornings I'm lazy when it comes to walking, haha. Cycling would be my best option but the traffic over here is nuts, I don't reeeeally wanna get hit by a car every morning.

30min walk or 15min bike or 10min by bus or like 7min by car to school. I typically take the bus, because I hate walking over ice or slush. Oddly enough, it only takes like 20min to walk to school in the summer, can walk faster or something without all the ice/slush.

40min bus or 20min car ride (or bout an hour by bike, rare that it happens though) to work.
