any hints and tips would be great! I don't have a lot of money but I want this badly..to walk around with a few articles of clothing, my music, my wits and a little bit of cash.

I deeply want to know other cultures.

Jan. 14 I could start this...If I decide on it.

First thing you should do is buy Lonely Planets 'Europe of a Shoestring' and register with www.wwoof.org & http://www.helpx.net both provide places on organic farms/homestays with free room and board.

Also the big thing is to decide where to go in Europe? You could go to the Alps, walk the beautiful coastline of portugal and camp with a tent, visit eastern europe to experience the old soviet bloc, wander around the villages of France/Italy/Spain drinking wine and experiencing gastronomic delights.

Anywho, best of luck hope you should have a ball, oh and I'd wait until summer before I'd consider doing this, any time from April on. If you give more details on where you're thinking of going people might be able to help, as it stands your plans are a bit vague.

    Om Shanti :)

If you want little side streets definately come to Prague in the Czech Republic. Also, try and get out and see the Czech countryside. There's lots of mountains, forests and springs and beautiful architecture.
