I'm trying to find a new diaper cover for Moire. Her chubby little legs are too much for her pro-wraps. She's active, and the red marks on her thighs are from the fold-over elastic.

I need a couple reviews from mommas that used the Stacinator so-simple.

    Is it bulky?
Will it fit a snappi-ed prefold?
How good is it at holding moisture?
And is it good at preventing marks on legs?

we use stacinator covers at night. I do not like fleece during the day, because they always feel dampish, especially if baby has to sit in high chair or car seat for more than two seconds. I love Bummis for daytime, snaps or velcro, they are the best covers I have ever used. I have one cover that both girls wore and it is still in like brand-new condition, I think I might have bought it used in the first place. Prowraps and Diaperaps always leaked on Jenny, never even bothered to try them on Meriel. Happy Heinies pocket diapers worked great on Jenny, not so great on Meriel so I sold them all. Dappi covers worked great on Jenny, and again didn't work well on Meriel. Bummis and Stacinators are the only covers that worked well on both girls. No leg marks, unless you put them on too tight. Yes, I use them with prefolds, often double-diapered (with a smaller size prefold) at night or during the day if we plan to be in the car longer than 20 minutes. Oh, I forgot! Hunny Buns ( www.hunnybuns.com ) are great covers, they come in wool or PUL, and are specially made to your baby's measurements, but still arrive in the mail within a week (at least in my experience). They have also held up to both girls, but are not in re-sellable condition, except the wool, which Meriel hates.

but anyway, if you ask 20 different mamas about cloth diapers, you will get 20 different answers. both of my girls are petite and thin, but Jenny always had beefy thighs, and that accounts for the variation in my experience of different brands.

We use wool 99% of the time. Stacinator makes a wool cover, I've never tried it though. I actually have a Stacinator fleece cover, I use that occasionally if a wool cover isn't easily accessible. I agree with mamaboogie, the Stacinator fleece always feel wet, especially since my boys are both super soakers.

Vermont Diaper Company has great wool covers, about the same price as Stacinator covers. I also love batik bum on Hyena Cart, very reasonably priced, and recycled too! Cletic Wool creations is great too. Loveybums has great covers, and if you go to their site, they often have seconds for sale. Swaddlebees make AWESOME covers, they have an outlet "store" online too. If you go to diaperswappers.com or mothering.com/discussions to the Trading Post, you can buy used covers.

My daughter couldn't use covers or she broke out in rashes... but I had several friends that swore by the Stacinators when she was still in diapers. The wool ones tended to be preferred, if it makes a difference.

The other brands I heard a lot of good reviews on were Bummis & Nikky's. I actually used a secondhand Nikky on my daughter every once & awhile, and it worked wonderfully.
    love,
    mom

The ones I use and swear by are 7th Heaven wool diaper covers. They come in small and large. Each one has four snaps on top and bottom so they grow with your child a long time. You can snap the top snap tighter than the bottom for fat legs, or the bottom tighter than top for fat bellies. They are a bit more expensive but they are very good quality and a few will grow with baby and last. In my experience wool is the only thing that breaths enough to keep him from getting rashy. You can get them here but you should hurry, they go fast!
