Orb Pics

These are some pictures taken in my friends basement. The family believes the basement to be inhabited by at least 3 different ghosts. From the time I've spent there I beleive it too. Seeing shadows, noises, smells, touching, things moving around, ect. Im not sure if these orbs are the real deal or not but they only show up in pics of the basement. They seem to be attracted to my friend. One room in particular has a very creepy feeling and nobody likes going in there. The dogs somehow get locked in there from time to time even though the door closes from the outside. Maybe the orbs are just dust or something but then again maybe not. What do you guys think?

 

there is a possibility of it being dust, but they are so perfectly round, im not sure! try an evp, the "white noise" method, make sure there is nothing on, take a tape recorder down there, let it record, and start asking questions. questions like "is there anybody here" or "who are you" and the like. play it back and see if anything answers your questions. it would probably help to find out the history of your house?

 

the circularity is an artifact of the spheriscity of the lense, not of the source, whatever it may be, of the effect.

it looks like your lens is dirty, or there's just dust catching the air just right.. try cleaning it really well with lense cleaner. also, does it only show up when that guy(is that you?) is in the pic? try taking some without him in it. It could be the person, and not the place at all.

 

To me, they look like orbs. (i'm not ghost specialist lol) If it was dust i would think that they would be smaller, and thered be more of them in the air.

 

I went back and took some more pics after cleaning my lense and even used two different cameras. A 35mm and a digital. The orbs were still present in about 1/2 of the shots. Again most showed up in the ones with my friend in it. (From the first post pics)

Heres a couple more. Im pretty sure the one with guys back is dust on the lens cause its huge and looks a lot different from the rest. All the others had different colors and this one was just huge and white. The other is me with two orbs on my right. Out of about 25 pics, only 2 had orbs with me in the pic but 11 pics with my friend had orbs. So maybe it is something to do with him. Hmm?

We still havent done any esp recordings but maybe we'll do it this weekend.

Weather the orbs are real or not, just sleeping alone in this basement will make a believer out of anyone. I slept on the floor their a couple days ago. SPOOKY!

 

It's called dust particles. They are not supernatural beings, grow up. I'm incredibly suprised that people see images like this and think that they are fucking ghosts. I mean they are just random white spheres in the photo!

I think they are just reflections of light with the lens...

 

I like to think they're real orbs/ghosts. I get them in nearly all the pictures I take in my basement. I'm pretty sure it's because no one goes down there and cleans it. It's most probably just dust. Basements are typically dirty/dusty places. I also get them in pictures taken in the kitchen, or hall where the floors are hard wood, not carpet, so dust has nowhere to really cling, it's just in the air.

 

No need to be such a dickhead. If you don't belive, than don't come into the thread. The only person that needs to grow up is YOU.

 

Truth is, most of those do end up being just dust specs. That doesn't mean I think it's made up, but rather it could go either way. Now, when people actually claim to see ghost lights, that's a tad bit creepier because it's not just a still, and flawed image. Either way, I've never seen one, so I don't really believe in ghosts.

 

I read somewhere that orbs are not supernatural... in fact I posted a thread about it in sacred spiral many moons ago...


We have had orbs in our photos in our house and garage. We also had some ghostly activities happen.

I was somewhat disappointed .... but yeah orbs are debunked.

 

I wasan't being a dickhead. I was just stating the most probable explaination for the "orb" thing. And thats dust on the lins.

But don't be ignorant if you want and fuel you mind full of fairlytaiulistic stories. I really don't mind, or care to fight.

 

i uploaded some pics from christmas that my sis and i took in our basement, and these orbs showed up too. i personally think that it is dust, because it only shows up in the pics where im jumping around. but we did find a man-shaped light (faint light) behind my sis in the living room. the thing is, my dad died in our house. on the same floor as the living room. and he always hung out in the basement with us, so we're sceptical. other mysterious happenings have happened too-footsteps, voices, bla bla bla. the usual unusual

Yeah, I'm not saying there aren't ghosts, but those are dust particles. The reason they are so large is because the photo is relatively zoomed into the main subject.

So that I don't get accused of being an ass, my qualifications:
I am a professional photographer
I photograph abandoned creepy places, so if there was ever cause for ghosts and shit, I'd probably get something....

Fuck sakes, those are not fucking ghosts. Anybody who has ever looked at a bad photograph knows that.
