how many vegans and veggies do we have , good show former big time cattleman now vegan http://www.lvitv.com/OutThereTV/playflash.php?v_id=222&state=flash
watched that a few days ago jonny what a eye opener .......cows being fed to cows (crazy) not to mention all the rest of it ....... has really made me think about cutting down on meat with cutting it out alltogether eventually .
dont really know ins and outs of how the wheels of the meat industry work torz but surely it must av had some contribution to it .
i dont think there is anything wrong with eating meat... if you can guarantee that it is organically farmed and locally slaughtered as and when its needed... it is the factory farming of meat that i am against. unfortunately its hard to find organically farmed, locally slaughtered meat with a tesco value label on it :s
I've been veggie for two years. Environmentally and ethically it's the right thing to do. I found it very easy to become vegetarian, helped by the fact that even as a meat eater I always found the idea of eating dead flesh pretty distasteful when I stopped to think about it.
Never liked fat as a youth so have always carried an aversion to fleshy products. Have been vegetarian periodicaly over the years and still frequently eat vegetarian meals either by myself or with our vegetarian daughter. The lady of the house and the youngest girl find no problem with eating meat products so I will also find myself sharing a meal with them, the principle of family sharing overiding. I liked to describe myself as a political vegetarian rather than an emotional one, dont like the industry rather than anything to do with doe eyes. I do find the strong emotional language and the inherent moral superiority expressed by some ve-ans rather difficult at times. Food is food, it is only very recently and in only a small part of the world where we are able to even think about how fussy we want to choose to be.
I eat fish but other wise vegetarian , but gradually feel myself becoming more vegan I dont like factory farming ,if you gave me a butcher knife I could kill a sheep and cook him and eat him but really dont see much need . Started to have soya milk with my cornflakes and actually like it as much as milk hopefully if enough people stop buying milk it will destroy our dairy industry and we can devote the land to growing trees, tree fruit, and nuts and gardening. if you go to the big green gathering practically the whole site is veggie or vegan and the food is great so you dont need to eat animals

I've been veggie for 3 years, since we had to disect hearts in biology. I actually really enjoyed it in quite an evil way, but this awful smell would waft over every now and again and make me want to throw up. I'd love to be vegan, but i doubt i ever will.
