I don't know if this is already a well-known thing, but I only just found it. This mama draws the cutest, funniest little strips called "Hathor the Cow Goddess" that're all about breastfeeding, AP, unschooling, and generally very hip parenting. Here's the link: http://thecowgoddess.com/ If you just browse around the categories you can see some of the strips. I'll definitely be buying a couple of her books when I can, for gifting to my new mommy-friends. (Couldn't find much more appropriate reading material during a baby-moon, am I right?) Thought you ladies would dig it!
I LOVE Hathor. I think I've been addicted about 5 months now. Sometimes, I feel like she's a little too strongly passionate. But then I realise that someone has to be that way! And what better person than a cartoonist WAHM!
Oh... I should NOT have read through that site while eating lunch!!! I've got a huge stitch in my side from laughing so hard! Thanks so much for the giggles love, mom
I have a Hathor t-shirt. It's pink and says "MOO" in big letters across the front. I wore it to class once when I did a speech on breastfeeding. I said "As you can tell from my shirt, I am a BFing mother." The class looked at my shirt and cracked up! The teacher ended up having to stop me after 20 minutes because everybody had so many questions about BFing.
I LOVE Hathor. One of my favorites is where she goes potty in the dining room of a resturant, because she was told to nurse her baby in the bathroom. "So, if you want my baby to eat lunch in the toilet, why can't I go potty in the dining room?" Great stuff.
