Do you love Marilyn Manson?

I want to know who here on the Hip Forums love Marilyn Manson?! And WHY do you love Marilyn Manson??

In response to my own question...I love Manson for his voice, his lyrics, his art, his body, and for his fuck it all "I am who I am" attitude. I love his unpredictibility and I love when he speaks out against Christianity. I love his book ( The Long Hard Road Out Of Hell ) .

I dont love him, but I like him. He is pretty cool, hiss music, his attitude, and his intelectual side, he is a very intellegent human being.

 

yes he is very intelligent! A complement to manson is a complement for me. (im very protective)grrrrrrrrrr...lol.....did you see him in bowling for columbine..???? any other interviews? what did you think?

 

I saw parts of bowling for colombine, no other interveiws though ... people judge him for how he looks and its crazy because he has some interesting perspectives and valid points

 

This one inflamed with consciousness and desire for truth is both bold beyond reason and sharpened with quick witted suffering. I love all sincerity. I didn't realize this book existed.

I just looked at his art and oh man, its awesome! The use of color and the complicated thing he maks simple...wow!

 

I love him! His music rocks!

 

I really like his paintings "Elizabeth Snow" it shows different perspectives and I find that his art is so true to who he is. The book is about his life before marilyn manson and the making of marilyn manson. Its really worth reading even if you dont particularily like him. Its pretty racey though but what else do expect from him?!

I'm neutral about the guy and dont like his music but I think he's intelligent and aware of politics. He's one of the few that makes music with social concerns

 

i don't like his image (some of his clothes rocks though!) but i'm sure inside he is a wonderful guy with good intentions no matter how evil he tries to appear to be. He went to a Christian School and got messed up spirtually, i think He knows more about God and salvation than most people.

 

manson didn't get messed up spiritually. he just hates christianity.

 

I like him because he's from Ohio, he puts on a great show, he isn't afraid to say what he thinks, he makes good records that are both under and over rated, he is fighting against the fundamentalist religious fantatcism that is dumbing down our society......what else, he sounds a bit like Iggy Pop and he likes my friends' old band "Brainiac"

 

You guys whould get on very well with my best friend who competly loves marlin manson and has baisicly everything to do with him.

I too like marlin manson for his music but only some of there music.

Yeah Manson rocks, i saw him in concert and I have all of his albums except The Last Tour On Earth.

 

WOW lucky you! The last tour on earth is awesome. they have new one out with 2 cds. coma white and an acoustic version is on it aswell as a cover of Get My Rocks off by dr. hook AND a really cute song call ed a rose and a baby ruth.

 

I think that Marilyn is as much of a poser as any other singer in the industry.


Sorry. I'm not discrediting his talent.... There are a lot of singers and musicians who are very talented, and definately more talented than I am... But it's pure image. "I am who I am" is a slogan that all artists throw around...
