wow muscle building

    im personally amazed at how much muscle size ive been able to build over just a couple of weeks of lifting a dumbell.

    i was wondering.. is it normal to be surprised? is it normal to simply get some muscle there early and then it slows down? will it actually get faster? or do some people simply grow muscle faster than others?


    also i was wondering, once muscle is there, how long does it take of not doing extra exercise for it to shrink down again?

    Well my friend it doesnt really happen quickly. I guess your an exception. Looking at you, i dont think your going to gain much muscle, to be honest. You gotta put on some wieght. You lose muscle pretty quick, like if you stop for about 3 weeks striaght, say good buy to what you worked for. You wont turn to bones, but it will go away.

    Well Dr. im glad you asked. Cause that little frame of yours will only hold so much muscle. It also has to do with genes, and by the looks of you, your doomed.

    You can pretty much do anything if untrained and gain some degree of muscle.

    Serious muscle is built with benches, squats, deadlifts, cleans, and snatches.

    PERIOD.

    No superslow crap, no machines, no massive bicep supersets.

    when you first start working out you'll experience a "pump", blood and water collecting in muscle tissue, that makes you look like you've gained more muscle than you have.

    Well, there's sarcoplasmic hypertrophy and functional hypertrophy.

    The former is what bodybuilding stresses and it's ruined the iron game.

    why do you say that? If body building is all about appearance, it makes sense they'd shoot for the most dramatic pump.

    It's not like it's an actual sport or anything.

    I consider bodybuilding an utter waste of time. Used to be people in this country cared about big numbers, and gyms allowed people to really train.

    Now the emphasis is on how striated your ass cheeks are, and the use of machines and superslow crap. Schwarzenegger was the same size in T3 as in T1, but his max bench at T1 was around 500lb, and 300lb in T3.

    Hey, with all the steroids Arnold did in the 70s he's lucky he can get anything up.

    As steroid users go, Arnold didn't use that much. Many baseball players these days use more than he did.

    Modern BBers on the other hand, it is INSANE what they go on.

    They looked at what was in the blood of one of the big guys who dropped dead recently and they were amazed he survived as long as he did. His blood was like 50 weight motor oil.

    On Super slow sets - Train slow move slow? I think there are some lifts that tend to be slower, but you want amazing power? Clean a lift, or whip it over head. Shocking.

    Body Building has more to do with the appearance of strength than the development of it. if pectorl implants make you look stronger, so be it. if injecting saline makes you look stronger, so be it.

    I think iron goth (and myself) are pissed that for peoplle who want... Strength, it's harder to find solid information if you're inexperienced or don;t know someone. \

    I'm 33, Destro.

    And I train(ed) for strength. Now I'm reduced to hand strength training only.... but gym is coming back soon.

    A bench is to be paused on the chest.

    noob gains (not trying to shoot you down here or anything). after a while youll have to turn up the intensity of workouts to grow.

    what ever you do, dont step down or stop working out. muscle shrinks fast. I ran cross country and got my mile time down to about 6 15 <not that good, but its improvement> anyway, after a month off of no running during winter break, i lost everything. trust me, it will go away
