I recently promised a friend of mine in return for her going to a play with me, I would go to a meditation class.... However, I moved soon afterward and do not know of any classes I can go to... Nor do I know any way to find anything of the sort... Being me, as honest as possible, I intend to keep my promise. I would like any information you can offer i.e... *Online sites *Courses around Yellow Springs/Dayton, Ohio *Your own personal insight Please help me keep my promise to my friend... (If you could, reply or pm me)
can't force meditation on anybody. your friend probably thought she was being helpful but the extraction of that promise seems a bit off, perhaps too overzealous. if you go into the class begrudgingly and not really interested in learning meditation, you probably won't get much out of it. If you'd like to try anyway, go for it. I googled Meditation Dayton and several resources came up. pick one that appeals to you and check it out. ask them questions about other types of meditation. Once you get involved you'll meet other people who can give you plenty of information and word-of-mouth referrals.
Oh, by no means was I strong armed.... She knows me and my personality and thought it was a fair tradeoff Thanks so much for your help. I will Google Dayton, I didnt realize it was that easy! Again, Thankyou!
I did find lots of information of meditation in www.erowid.org... Also good place is www.spiritonline.com...
