Media lens is a company which monitors bias in the news especially Britains news. Many interesting stories emerge. You can take it as read that they are telling the truth. I myself have seen stories at 13:00hrs on the news which are then watered down and presenyed much differently by 18:00hrs. Also stories that would mean a great deal to change politics for the better are shown and then snuffed out in later broadcasts - these people monitor such events closely http://www.medialens.org/alerts/index.php example To keep this balanced I have to state the bbc is one of the sites biggest critics and here is one of their criticisms http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/newsnight/globalisation/
The media wants you to percieve things in certain ways, just like everyone else. Its your job to get all the information you can and take in what you want.
The best book I ever read about the corporate media is by Barry Zwicker, and it's called "Towers of Deception". A definite *must* read. http://www.amazon.com/Towers-Decept...=pd_bbs_1/102-4551134-4138529?ie=UTF8&s=books
Information is changed, even if they try to tell the truth, when it is mediated through a medium. "a medium shapes its content: i.e. the nature of any medium has implications for the kind of experiences which can best be handled with it." Marshal McLuhan
Well once again Bush and cronies will win out while we all try to figure out who is blocking who. After Iran who next, probably Syria. These two countries absorded most of the refugees from Iraq, Lebanon also took in many. Now we wish to bomb all of them out of existence. Hey marketing wins once again. Because no one wants to ask questions and receive viable answers.
Every news group has an agenda and for this they are bias. I cant see how any person, business or member of goverment could recieve money for elections, ad support ect could make an unbias opinion.
