Hey all, SO I read on a lot of online Divinorum vendors that they use the safest extraction method for human consumption and whatnot and I was wondering what is the safest extraction? It would seem technically if carried out correctly they all have the same safety levels although I'd prefer something I had to smoke to be sitting in denatured alcohol for a week than isopropanol / acetone. Maybe there is some kind of special extraction that can only be done with expensive equipment. Anyway just seein what yall knew about divinorum extractions as I want to make some soon. THanks in advance. =)
the distinction sounds pretty goofy acetone evaporates completely utterly and perfectly because of that, products made with it are extremely safe. no acetone remains. really. working with it you need to be sober, however, as the volatility and combustibility can lead to explosive combustion. also the fumes can be irritating if exposed to them for a long time while working. I have no idea what they are talking about.
I would recommend a basic experience in making hash, or hash oil first, and maybe you know... highschool chemistry (you didn't have to pass it, just have a general understanding on procedure) Isopropyl and Acetone evaporate quite easily, with very little insistence. Infact if you took a bowl of isopropyl or acetone and fit it over a pot with hot water in it, the heat coming from the bottom would evaporate the isopropyl or acetone very quickly, just do this in a ventilated area, and for god sakes stay away from ether for a few years. Daniel Siebert (guy who made the first extract) made it just about the same way you make hash, no fancy equipment. If you use acetone (remember it melts plastic, so it can't come into contact with plastic) you can always evaporate it, and if you are scared theres a bit left, then take some isopropyl put that in the bowl with the acetone extract, swish it around a bit, make sure its all in the middle and evaporate that. (apparently isopropyl can be consumed in small quantities without any harm, don't quote me on that, cause I wouldn't drink it) Anyway someone post their extraction procedure we can have a nice discussion and perhaps better the procedure.
