my seed just sprouted a day or two ago. my friend and i planted it just to see if it would actually sprout, it did. we planted it directly in the dirt. it is an indoor system with a flourescent bulb. anyways, for the past couple of days we have been watering it like, every 6 hours, and ive started researching growing, and i think we water it too much. im kinda scared for its well being. also, when should we start putting in fertilizer? and when the plant begins to sex, is the whole plant gonna be the same sex, or will some of it be male and some of it be female?

PLEASE HELP ME ITS A FANTASTIC SEED AND I DONT WANT TO RUIN IT!!!!

1 seed??? do u realise its about 50% chance its male???

basicly u should have read a guide by now, but here goes:

water it just abit keeping the soil moist from now on, a day or 2 ago shouldnt do any too big damage nless u really did keep it soaked. u put weak solution of fertiliser in after 2 weeks after the beggining of seedling stage. the plant starts to sex 1-2 weeks into flowering, this is after vegetative growth which takes about 2months. most likely yes, the plant will be one sex, allthough there are hermaphrodytes- these have both pistils and pollen sacks on them.

this is why no-one plants one seed, u should plant aaaatleast 4, it might just trun out that all your work was for nothing :)

yeah man, its already got one leaf and its been out of the dirt for about 3 days now. no fertilizer or nothin. im really scared that its gonna be a male plant, but if it is ill just go get more seeds then and start growing them by the bunches. what im doing right now is just sort of becoming a new hobby, im not trying to start a plantation or get like 10 plants growing. i just want one or two to keep me satisfied.

how can it have only one leaf?
that's kinda odd if it's really true.. generally the plant first gets two leafs at the same time..

yeah, ur prollay right. im never in the right "mindset" to notice stuff a lot of the time. anyway, now i have another problem. the two leaves that were there at the point when it came out of the shell, are dying. however, i can see two real little ones emerging. but im worried that they wont grow in time and the plant will die, is it normal for these leaves to take a little time before they pop out?

yeah, they will grow in nodes directly opposite the ones before them, this is what most of its growing will be like. normally the first (round) leaves stay for a while, but if they die, just carefully take em off if they dont fall off by themselves, make sure the teethed ones are ok tho

Too many variables to give an estimate.
For instance, why style are you growing? sog, scrog. "regular"?
    Hydro, dirt?
Other factors impacting yield: how long you veg before flowering, what strain and the entire spectrum of environmental conditions i.e. light, nutrients, ventilation.
And if you're planting from seed it's even harder to tell final yield until you know what sex the vegging plants are.

I supply excellent conditions, veg rooted clones til 15" tall (usually 3 weeks) then 12/12 'em. I get approx. 1.5 oz. per plant, sog in ebb n flo under 50 watts HPS per sq/ft.
I have seen topped plants vegged indoors until they're 4' tall and bushy as hell that yielded 8 oz. per, but it took about 4 months of vegging. In the time it took to veg that 1 plant I vegged 5 crops, and 5 times more plants each time, so I eneded up with just as much or more yield than a big bushy plant.
Also, light loses power the further the branches are from the source. The first indoor plants I grew finished at 7' tall. The buds on the lower branches was much lower in potency that the tops. Keeping the plants short means that all the buds are much closer to the tight.

so ive come down with another problem. i feel as though my plant is about to die. the round leaves are dying, and the rigid leaves havent sprouted yet. i can see them, but they are very very small. im thinking about using a seaweed fertilizer to help keep my plant alive. does fertilizer also increase the plants speed of growing? please give suggestions on what i should do.

There's a lot of things that could be wrong.
If you want to grow bud you need to read a grow book.
