I'm sorry that that happened. And I disagree DrumminMama, chanting on the thread was a good time (They have the very thread at the GeorgeHarrison.com forums and it brings much comfort)...we had pictures sometimes as well. But as you wish...all things happen for a reason. Well it was fun chanting w/ y'all when it was open!

'Repetition' is the basic fact of this whole creation. The whole nature including all in it is repeating itself over and over again... all our life-cycle, our heart-beat, our breathing, our talks and conversations, our joys and sorrows, wins and defeats, war and peace, our change of seasons, all the waves in the seas, life and death ..........everything is repeating itself. Then how could you single out the repetition of the Mahamantra? Would you be able to see or bear all other repetitions also stopped? What is meant by chanting with live people? On the supposition that it is "chanting live with people", I always thought that quiet breathing was preferable to snoring. A Forum is a much quieter place than a park. People express their views and interact with people(The same way done in a park). Separate 'threads' are made so that nobody gets disturbed if the views are not concurring. In a park that may not be possible. First of all, meeting all (Like minded) in the forums in a park is not possible. So, how was it annoying for anybody? Just wanted to add my views. I can't see that the MahaMantra thread was doing any harm. You shouldn't rule out some subtle energies that someone might feel, even on a remote computer out there somwhere.....esp. in any kind of connection with Krishna...and it's not like this was an ISKCON thing...SGB who started it isn't an ISKCON spammer, and many people had contributed. HHmmmmmmmmmm................

first off, I didn't mess with the thread. I offered a bandwidth related answer. The mm thread has existed in a few incarnations, much like the music threads about comments on what the person above is listening to. I think (not as a mod) someone with a personal forum should start the next one, and leave a note here.
