Taxman is a classic from a very important album in rock history ... and strangely Revolver was one of the lower lp sells in their history... probably because it was maybe their most 'avant-garde' record

I dont know the Mountain Goats...is it a band of farmers ?

    i listen to

    Vangelis
    'Spiral'
    -Spiral- lp 1977

One of the biggest keyboard and organ player of the Prog movement... It s mid 70s records has some interesting things as this 'Spiral' track ...it sound like a spacy bad trip of prog electronica... strange track
Even Yes wanted Vangelis has their keyboard wizzard in the mid 70s...but Vangelis refused the offer!
Only a man with balls can do that !

Saw them live once, horrible! I had a great time though, cause Moreno was strunk as hell and fell of the stage. The crowd started throwing mud and beer and in the end the singer of Suicidal Tendencies replaced him.

oh man you are really a searcher... i dont know this band...but real searchers know the brit invasion band the searchers! ...an essential start to explore ...

About the eagles...i m quite surprised that Led Zepellin and Deftones lovers like some of their songs... it s good to see further than the first 'mainstream' impression... some bands can be mainstream and records great artistic classic works...something that a lot of young seems to forget...
Wasted Time is a superbe choice... the eagles were at their peak in 76&77 ...

    I listen to

    The Meters
    'Give It What you can'
    -New Directions- LP 1977

The last album of this funk rythmn n blues classic band... This is the closing track of the lp...it s good stuff very entertaining... This last album was recorded just after a turbulent tour with the vicious, egocentric & decadent Rolling Stones of 1976 ...Mick Jagger was a fan of the Meters!

seriously I dont know 311 ...all those numbers disturb me...maybe it s a boys band! ... or those muscle man were called 911 ... but i read somewhere 311 before...

Motorhead is what young rebels should listen...even at 90 years old Lemmy will be more bloody than my chemical romance...or others fresh fruits...
Mazzy star are classic... i really was into their last album (ten years ago) and The Hope Sandoval only solo lp... those kind of voice make me dream ...so much angelic and sensibility... innocence distance and dreamy... His voice is what pop music is anymore

    i listen to

    Barclay James Harvest
    'Hymn'
    -Gone to Earth- lp 1977

A Popular British band in many big countries around the world in the 2nd part of the 70s...(xpt America as always)
This album is considered as their creative and commercial peak at the same time...
People who like gentle (aerian) pop as Old Moody Blues - Early Bee Gees (before the egodisco)- and Beatles fan will probably like their sound...
