I prefer to swallow it. I don't know exactly what parachute means, but I have an idea. I always prefer just to swallow. I kinda like time released. 30mg would be ok immediate release though, but I would not snort it/shoot it.
true or not true, i have heard that in the future (future meaning 5 -10 years) they are implimenting adding the oxycodone antagonist into Oxycontin so that it can't be abused as in crushed because the antoagonist will cancel all effects of the OC, and i heard a rumor that this has already been done to MSContin but i didn't think they had the technology yet, anyone?
Well, they do have the technology to add an antagonist, I am not sure if this is some new technology you are speaking of... Talwin NX is an example of a painkiller with an antagonist added. It wouldn't really work for Oxycontin, though. It is a very low dose of antagonist (naloxone) so you have to take above a theraputic dose, ie abuse it, for the effects to be cancelled out. Oxycontin is available in strengths up to 160mg, and MS Contin up to 200mg. It wouldn't really work because all you need is one pill, IF THAT! MS Contin, in the USA, is not currently treated with an antagonist, and I haven't heard any plans to do so. Perdue Pharma, makers of Oxycontin and MScontin, are developing a new time release tablet. The new design is supposed to have the time release incorporated into the tablet, so that it cannot just simply be crushed. As far as I know, they have not yet come up with a good design. They have. It's little beads that turn to glue when you crush it. To beat it: Get out the coffeemaker. Clean it up proper. Crush the Oxys and put in the basket. Add one cup of water and turn her on. Only hot water can strip the oxycodone out from the hypromellose/ hydroxypropyl methylcellulose(same thing). Hypromellose is not soluble in hot water only. It is also the time release agent. They have added little microbeads into the tablets' matrix that when crushed turn to glue. Take the coffee pot and pour her out into a suitable evap dish of SWIM's choosing. This will leave swim with pure oxycodone that weighs double the number the pill was(ie. an "80" will net 160 mg's of Oxycodone). One gram of oxycodone is soluble in 7ml of water. Be sure to store it all sealed up as it degrades rather rapidly in the open air. I think this was written by Totse's EnemyWithin, although I could be completely wrong. Either way, I remember seeing it on Totse.com's Better Living Through Chemistry forum.
I am pretty sure they haven't changed the formulation of Oxycontin yet, at least in the USA. For one, the patent just ran out, and a generic is currently available for the 80mg tablets. If the formulation had changed, it would have extended the patent by a minimum of 6 months. I will double check the formula tomorrow at work (a pharmacy) and I will post here what I find out.
Sorry, I meant that that's how you beat the time-release on the new generic OCs. The originals haven't changed. Guess I should've added that.
uh, the generic is identical to the brand name, otherwise it would not be substitutable. I will check this out at work tomorrow... The time release beads that you mention definately do exist, in several drugs (ie Doryx, Adderall XR, Dexedrine SR, Metadate CD, Cardizem CD, Tiazac, Verelan PM, etc, etc). I do not think Perdue, or the generics, are using this technology, however. They are looking for something more "tamper proof." I am not sure, though, so I will post more tomorrow.

The ## in the pill means the ammount of OC total, not per/time period...so an 80mg pill has 80mg to be time relased over what ever the period is...you can not make MORE of the drug with this method, although you may be able to make all 80mg available at once (defeating the time release)
last night i ate 3 30mg of those suckers and i diddnt feel shit. they just gel up when you try and add water to break them down too. aaaaghhhh !
If you took 90 mg's of OC and didn't feel anything you either weigh 3 metric tons or they weren't oc's. Maybe someone lied to you? IDK I usually just chew em up and swallow. Even 40 mg's swallowed without chewing will have you at the very least feeling a bit of euphoria.
