My lava lamp has a spirally vial of glitter in the middle which has a point at its top.

I have watched my lava lamp for hours on end waiting for just one lava blob to hit this point and burst, but it just wont bloody happen, they always slide down the side of the point because to burst it would have to rest on the point exactly in the middle of the blob. Its happened once, but someone else saw it happen. Now I'm freaking out becuase technically the lava moves around the lamp randomly, which means this bursting lava blob may never ever ever occur ever again

    :$ :(

Yeah, they really are amazing. I needed help with mine a while ago, and someone gave some great advice, maybe you could do a search. I think it'll spin faster if you twist it clockwise or something. It has something to do with twisting it, I really don't remember. It was so long ago!
