since i've been at my aunt and uncles, most of the time that i go to the bathroom i see someone elses urine in there. Im not sure if this is on purpose or if its the children that keep peeing and forgetting to flush. im thinking maybe the parents dont want to flush to much so their water bill wont be as much?

just to make sure, i didnt flush the last time i went...hopefully they dont wake up and take a wizz thinkin "wtf? paul!! flush next time you go! you baffoon"

    :leaving:

Even if I didn't want to flush, I still do. It's a habit for me and I always flush first if I see pee in the bowl already. Being slightly OCD, I can't handle the thought of someone else's urine being there whilst I hover over the bowl.

But I agree with Jess, just ask them.

Ha ha, I just thought of something...if you wanted a real "wtf?" moment, eat a whole bunch of aspagus and leave that in the bowl. :D

That's disgusting! My sister and her husband do the same practice, every time they come over or I go to their house, there's a mess in the toilet! They say their trying to save water! Disgusting unsanitary practice! I always flush the damn toilet with disgust before using it!

I tell them if you want to save water buy one of those new 1.5 gallon toilets, then you'll save water. The current toilets are the old 3 gallon toilet. The 1.5 gallon toilets don't do as good a job as the 3 gallon toilets but you save water.

Ah, the good old if it's yellow let it mellow, if it's brown flush it down.
I have to agree, I am an every time flusher too. Which kind of sucks, because toilets use a lot of water for each flush. Maybe I'll pee outside......

 urine is actually incredibly clean. Not that I want to touch it or anything, but letting it sit in the toilet won't do anything harmful to it.

I understand the practise... if I lived on my own, paid for my own water and was short on cash I'd probably only flush every second or third time I took a whizz.

Actually, urine when it first leaves the body is sterile. But it's when it sits and is in contact with oxygen that it become unhygenic (so when you let it sit in the tank, it's nasty...). That's why, sorry Josh, when people are into "Golden Showers" it's totally safe. It's when you let it sit...
Supposedly the first urination that you take of the day is full of healthy properties, that's why people in some cultures wash their face and drink it. I know, I know, gross.

    *shrugs*

Had to employ this all last summer due to a water shortage :D

Most of the water used in the house comes from a natural spring, so conservation isn't really an issue. Water isn't piped here, what we don't get from the spring we haul in a 375 gallon tank from town...........flush flush flush flush
