how you found the hipforums and what your first post was about?

I remember stumbling upon this site because I was doing a project on the sixties and seventies. So my very first post was asking for info haha.

 

I was looking for a quote about trees. My first post was about my friend's miscarriage, and how I was lost as to how I should console her. I learned later that she told me because I'm one of her best friends....but also because she wanted me to kick the guys ass. He was abusive and then blamed her.

oh god, I have no idea...... I remember it was in 99-'00 somewhere in there...... my first post?? man..... I think it had to do with music..... there were only about 3 or 4 forums then......... there was hippies, random thoughts, music....... I think..... and no one had to register to post...... so there was alot of name stealing going on, and impersonation. it was rather amusing and confusing to say the least....... the most impersonated person that was here had to be pressed rat (who posted as Matt) back then....... so there would be alot of matts posting bullshit

 

ummm. it was june 2004. like 3 in the morning and i was looking for a pattern of some sort and the search brought me to the fashion & crafts forum. i joined, and i my first post was in the thread about that shirt patter. retrofishies thread. whatever happened to that girl?? she was so sweet. i love how i can remember everything down to the last detail. i was writing in my journal last nite, the same journal ive kept since 8th grade no joke. the thing is though i only write in it like once or twice a year. and the things i recall are amazing. i am a detailed rememberer.

 

I was trolling for forum boards on sex, Q&A type things. I found the Love & Sex forum here and another site, joined 'em both on the same day, and assumably my first (many) posts were about sex.

Because sex rocks.

I was looking for something I saw on Oprah.... one of the posts on that topic pissed me off... I needed to make a rebuttle .... and here I stay with this weird name but which has become me.

I met very good and funny people here on the forums.

 

i don't remember what my first post was about. unless it's archived somewhere in some secret cia vault, it fell off the end of the bit bucket when the big crash happend, i don't remember even how many years ago now.

but i do know where i found the link that i fallowed to here. it was on a site that, at least as it existed then, no longer exists. it was called zenzibaar or something like that, basicly zen bizaar, a like farm to all, or at least many, things alternative.

and i think i may have found that one from some kind of fanshrine to the ORIGEONAL woodstock, the one in 68.

and basicly i was just looking to see if there was anyone still arround who remembered the music and ambiance of the times. the cool mellow laidbackness that the world would be a better place if it could have become the dominant culture's core value, which we were, first and formost, whatever our differences about anything else, about that it would be, could be, should be.

Well, I joined back in October of 2004 but I have no clue as to what my first post was actually about. All I know is that I tend to gab a lot. :&

 

I have no idea what my first post was about, but I was pretty attached to the music forum. That was a long time ago, in the old forums prob like 4-5 years ago.

I dont remember my first post, it was I think 3 screen names ago sometime in 2003. I was banned twice before I adopted Relayer for my name. But yea, how I founf the site, was through Rainbow friends of mine and they introduced me to this place so we could stay in touch

I stumbled unto this forum through reading something on hippy.com, which I typed in out of boredom or found on google somehow or something. Man... I actually remember it, and I saw the latest forum posts thingy on the top right. I could have just as easily not noticed it and kept on going to another website... but for some reason it caught my attention. So I looked around... it all seemed so foreign! ...and all the damn colours... so I signed up... logically. Posted my intro, in the intro forum... obviously... but I think my first post was about being stoned...something in the lines of "man... i'm so stoned!". Can't blame me... I haven't smoked much ganj at that point, and I was in Israel... and smoked some good stuff (Afgan) for the first time in my life.

 

I had a user name back in 2000 or 2001 but I hardly posted and I forget what it was, then more recently a friend of mine told me I should post here.
