my boyfriend is transferring schools. it is a 12 hour drive so we will probably see each other once a month, if even, but i want to spend all next summer with him. Has anyone had success with long-distance relationships and has any advice for me on how to make this work? thanks

    Why hello there!
Actually, it might not be considered advice when i say this..
Hope for the best, and know that if your relationship with this person is meant to be, it WILL be.
I am in a relationship right now, that turned out to be a long distance relationship back in April......what we do is both write a letter to eachother once a week...his phone has been disconnected for a few months, but we used to talk on the phone for about 5 hours each day. (imagine THAT phone bill HA HA HA HA HA.....narrow it down, less time...less expense....but, it's all the same, at least you get to talk to eachother!)

Just don't cheat! :p also, if you really do trust him, don't worry about him cheating....like i said, if it's meant to work out, it WILL work out...and you two will fall for eachother more, even IF you're far apart.

I told you, it might not be much advice...or GOOD advice, but it's all i've got for right now.

thank you! It feels much better to know people have succeeded with this. Most people i talk to are just like "yeah, uh.. good luck". i have faith in things though :)
