has anyone ever done this before? The way it was first explained to me is thus: When your really really good freinds with someone else who ahs dreads, you both pick a dread and cut the botton half of the dread off, then sew it onto the others top half so that you each have half a dread fromt he other person in your hair. I had a friend(before i had dreads) who had done this several times.
So at a confrence rhis weekend, my friend sarah helped me with my dreads alot. (mostly ripping and playing with the roots, and jsut beign dread buddies etc) So at the end of the weekend we found outselfs a sewing kit, and decided to go at it. Annnnd now I have a cute blond tipped dreadlock heheheh

anyone have thoughts on this? anyone else ever doen it before? maybe some advice on how to make them grow together the best (im kinda afraid of them seperating heh)
pics if i can fidn a camera that works or soemthing heh

My partner gave me one of his dreadlocks...it's one of the longest dreads on my head. It's tied and stapled together and it's not going anywhere :) It's one of my favorite locks :)

stapled eh? did it grow together naturally? or is it totally held together by staples and thread?

I didn't sew it...he just knotted them together and put two staples in it. One of the staples fell out, but the other one is still in there...I like it :) After a few months they have finally bonded.
