Look at that paint mess. the couch, flatscreen tv, finish on floor, clothes, toys.. all completely ruined. maybe 2000 bucks worht of damage. that would take me half a year to replace all that. and you dont think that kid needs smacked?

 

all material things which can be replaced. beating a kid is something that cant be fixed.


as for the tv shit uhm i wouldnt have left that crap in reach of the kids for them to do that with in the first place.

 

yeah i understand that the kid shouldnt have had access to the paint can, but kids can get into anything at that age.

if you didnt smack the kid, how would you discipline him for ruining all that stuff?

 

if anyone needs to be smaked in that situation its the adults that left it there with the kids, adults have a responsibilty to make an enviroment safe, until a time a child can be responsible.

Slapping kids around after mischief doesn't accomplish a whole a lot of positive. All it really accomplishes is having an adult take out his or her aggressions out on a kid. As has already been pointed out, the adult who left the paint accessible to kids deserves to be taught a lesson.
