that has nothing on what were talking about...you don't choose to be killed

if we had to explain every little risk invovled in doing anything in life, it wouldnt' be enjoyable. i don't know about you guys, but i find it incredibly fun to figure out the risks on my own instead of having every single one explained to me before hand.

i've seen plenty of bars without any of that, minus the fact you had to be 21 to get in - that was it. only be 21. no signs, no signing any statement, nothing.

i'm just saying that a lawsuit should not come from this, but i bet there will be one...however i think it should be thrown out, thats just how i feel. you may feel different, the courts may feel different.

however if the bull broke and the person got thrown through the window, it would be the bars fault, as when i'm signing the waver and reading the signs, its for a fully working bull

i had already stated that they will most likely file suit...i just dont' agree with that
    ------
*off topic* along with i dont' agree with the family who is suing Disney because the son wanted to mess around with Tiggers costume - i hope that family is ready to spend a lot of money fighting Disney, because they will lose that one.
    -----
*on topic* it was a tragic case and it is sad to see that she died

what about those people in hot dog eating contests?????????

if they choke on a dog and die, then its the organizers fault???

seriously people should be aware that they can die or get seriously hurt from any activity, really......

you can die from running in a marathon.....

If the hotdogs were poisoned, yes. She didn't choke on the water, she was poisoned by too much of it.

She had a reasonable expectation of her safety. The radio station should have looked into it, and given warnings. All she thought she had to do was drink water and hold her pee the longest. Sounds pretty harmless, not like riding a mechanical bull

nope. i not with the litigation-lovers on this one. when it started to make her sick, she felt it. avarice killed her. suing over your mother killing herself for a toy seems completely unreasonable to me. but it's going to happen, and the kids will get a hundred million dollars + and finally get the Wii that mom wanted so badly. money money money. that's all it ever comes down to. what's your price?

for me its whos responsible for this and that I think is the radio station, I don't actually agree on sueing because you can't put a money figure on life, but I also think the radio station should hold their hands up and admit blame

not in the usa you don't. no, i think anytime anyone agrees to do something in a contest, it's their business and their responsibility.

why would that matter? why has it suddenly become everyone else's job to make sure we don't do something stupid? why does everyone else in the world have to make sure we don't hurt OURSELVES? this is just another litigation lottery in the making, just like people suing mcdonalds for making them fat.

the minute they "take responsibility" they're gonna be anally raped by every litigation lawyer looking for their 30% of 100 million. no way, man. they told these people not to take risks with their health. everyone heard it.

I think we're argueing two slightly different things, in a perfect world it would be nice if the radio station said to the family 'you've lost your mother, its our fault and we're terribly sorry' and then thats it.
but even if they do feel they are at fault they are probably going to be advised not to admit it

that's partly it. still, i don't think it's the radio station's fault. i think it's that woman's fault for not knowing what the hell she was doing. it's the same principal that has stupid instructions on everything, like on a drill "do not apply drill to eye or attempt home-trepanation." NO ONE takes personal responsibility any more. NO ONE, especially when they can win the idiot lottery.
