Hey everyone. This is a great place you have here. So here's my lame attempt at introducing myself I grew up in Bombay, India, and am now in Birmingham, Alabama, just few months away from my masters in medical imaging. Here in Birmingham its hard to find folks that are progressive, but I did find a couple of groups that are dedicated to peace, environmental protection, fighting hunger and poverty, and those that strive for economic and social justice. On the lighter side, I am a vegetarian (wannabe vegan), and love biking wherever and whenever possible. In music, Mozart absolutely kicks ass and Grace Slick and John Lennon share the distant second place. Philosophically, I fall somewhere between an agnostic and an atheist - and politically I loosely classify myself as a post-left anarchist. I try my best to conserve natural resources and also go for appliances that are most energy efficient. I love cats, flowers, and chick-flicks, and I have a hard time explaining it to folks who get the impression that I might be gay for liking these things. Why people think it unnatural for a hetrosexual man to love cats, flowers and chick-flicks is an enigma to me, but c'est la vie. Oh, and I also ride an unicycle, and me and few of my über-geeky friends are thinking about starting a local club 'One wheel good, two wheels bad' - LOL. And that's me!
welcome to the forums, and welcome to the deep south, baby - enjoy! there are more hip people in 'Bama than most people may think
