Ive become recently interested in going back to school and am thinking along the lines of a degree like this. Just wondering if anyone else has gone down this path, know anyone who has, or knows anything usefull about it? Some good schools that offer this program? I guess my ultimate goal behind this is finding something that would allow me to work in an outdoor setting like a state/national park, beach resort, ranch, camp ect. I know some people who work at places like this as trail guides, camp counslers and such but their work tends to be seasonal and can be a little too shaky for someone who's raising a family. Always thought Id be some lone, wanderin, nomad but now I foresee a couple little ones in the future and I gotta do what I gotta do. Id really appreciate any helpfull info.
National and state parks often hire people with degrees in biology, forestry, botany, etc. They also hire people for managment, law enforcement and maintainance, etc. I know that there are programs for becoming a ranger, also.
