all you "fuckers" need to get down with some punk rock!!!!
Punkers are more "hippie-like" than anybody out there. And if you dont think so, go to a punk rock show and see fo' yo'self.

whenever i party with punks, bad things always happen...but before the bad things happen it's usually fun :D
but yeah my two arch enemies that always result to my downfall are punks, and whiskey :&

I like the idea of punk, and some of the lyrics. But the sound of it gets on my nerves. For the most part anyway.

Depends what you mean by punk....

Bands like the clash and stiff little finders (they do a fuckin great live show) are good, but all this new punk stuff is shite.

    Same problem here.
I can enjoy myself at a punk concert though, I just go with the flow then. My brother is into British punk like Cocksparrer, the Business etc. But yeah, that sound is already more appealing to me than punk rock.
Which bands do you mean by the way, Dollydagger? Can you give some examples? I'm easily confused when people talk about punk, punk rock, punk/hardcore stuff, because I'm not really into it.

Well, I listen to a lot of "skater" punk, like Pennywise, NOFX, MXPX, Rise Against, etc. I love the old school, like the Misfits, Bad Religion, the Ramones and I love the "ska" punk like Rancid, Suicide Machines, The Specials, etc.

whoa, something happened there while I was typing.....sorry about that!

I don't know MPMX, but I don't find most of those bands you named fun to listen to. But yeah, even Floggin Molly doesn't do it for me on the soundsystem. Like I said, I dig them much better live.
What do you think of that British 'oi' punkstyle? Together with some ska that's the kind of punk I dig most.
Oh yeah, I do think the Pogues are great, but their music is folk mixed with punk.

If those bands are what you'd call today's Punk... then I will go and shoot myself now.

Eh I was dragged to MXPX because my friend couldn't find anyone to go with her (shocker). It was pretty painful, but I guess I could've gotten into it more.

I can atleast say I gave it a shot.

um, no, those bands have been around for a while.....i dont think I could name any "new punk"

well, since everyone likes to be so critical of my choices, what do you consider "good" punk??

I can't seem to get into punk...some songs are alright, but it's not really a genre I'd voluntarily listen to.
