hey everyboy yes i'm here again who the fuck would like to join me to help the world it's like nobody cares ... ok what i wanted to do is go on bicycle true europe for like 2 months and help every where we can ... you know the little things as the big things i'm thinking about animal abuse to nature ramps to helping homeless people and stuff !! we also should need to get media to us so the world can see what we do but more so they can see that even young people ( i'm 16 ) whant to save the world so they realize that its going quit bad !!!! i'm from belgium and you can contact me on de_bruyker@hotmail.com
I don't think 2 months is long enough.. it would take about a month to cross France by bike. Well i can't join you now, but starting not this summer but the next (in my gap year) me and some friends are gonna cycle round spain, france, germany, belgium, denmark, and the netherlands, staying in youth hostels. maybe visit sweden too, taking about a year to do it all. It'll take loads of training and we've started saving up now. I would love to help people and nature, but i really don't think we would be able to - having little money and having used all our energy cycling each day. I think we're going more just to experience the different towns and cities.

GHL - Good idea! I had the same idea when I was just out of school. I even stopped by the Headquarters of the International Red Cross in Geneva, Switzerland and asked them how someone like me could get involved and help out in some of the trouble areas we all see on television. The one lady told me that they really needed people with university degrees in subjects that they could use in their work, subjects like civil engineering, agriculture, medical services, hydrology, etc. Her advice was to learn an area of expertice that could benefit communities, not so much individuals, because when you help the community, individuals will also get the help but in larger numbers. Made sense. I also stopped by the American embassy in Den Hague and made the same inquiry. They said pretty much the same thing. Looking back I quess I had the idea of doing something that benefited the here and now, but I've since learned that long-term investments have the biggest payoffs. I just needed to have the ambition and the patience to pursue that line of commitment. I hope you go out and do something for the here and now, many people and animals would benefit, but do what it takes to handle the long-term issues as well. It's the old saying: Give a man a fish and he eats today, teach him to fish and he'll eat forever. Enjoy the meal, and then learn to fish! You've a good heart. Best of luck.
P.S. The world is not quite that bad. The good being done in the world far out-shines the negative press you may be becoming influenced by. If you think the world is really that bad, perhaps you need to change the places and the people you are presently hanging with and find more positive aspects to experience of your fellow man and his world. I guarantee it's out there. Meanwhile, I certainly applaud your wanting to do something to up-grade some of the lives of people/animals who could use it. Just be careful. Some of the people/animals you want to help come with issues that may place you in danger. Again, best of luck!
god, the thought of it makes my skin itch. in a good way. i wish, wish, wish i could. if i wasn't engaged, chained to a small town, and trying to make the best of it, i'd be right there. maybe i'll ask my fiancé.
