I saw a guy walking down the street wearing a shirt that said "I'm a feminist" or "This is what a feminist looks like" or something like that. No satiric pictures or anything. And he wasn't picking up women! Hehe.

Seriously, it was so cool. It's nice to see a guy basically display that he's a feminist. That's what we need. Everyone thinks that feminists are all pychotic lesbians who hate men and whatnot, but that's not true. Not only have I met a lot of feminists (gay and straight) who were friendly, intellegent, non-man hating people, but I do (perhaps idealistically) believe that most males in my age group do believe in equal rights, mainly because their parents were from the generation that really brought that to the mainstream. It's nice to see a guy actually admit it... The statement was made, and it was a lot stronger than he could've possibly thought.

I so want the "This is What a Feminist Looks Like" T shirt. It's great to see people, men and women, not being afraid to proclaim their feminist beliefs.

Last week I saw a women in a purple tshirt that said "This is what a radical feminist looks like." I don't consider myself a feminist, I consider myself an equalist (Excuse my spelling here) but those shirts have always just kinda bothered me. Maybe just because I wouldn't go around wearing my personal beliefs on my chest - I'd much rather state my beliefs somehow else. No offence to anyone who'd wear them, tha'ts just how I feel on it, and more power to guys who wear them, that's a hell of a brave statement for a guy to make on a shirt!

Good luck if anyone decides to make one :)
