kay, well I'm about to go in for therapy. My friend went into therapy a few days ago, and one of the first things they did was drug test him. He did tell them that he had smoked pot once, and done pills, which was true, so I'm wondering if thats the reason why they tested him. I asked my mom about the confidentiality at the place I'm going to, and she was very sketchy about it, saying something like, "if you tell them your feelings, they wont tell me", so I'm worried about this. I havent toked in about three weeks, and I have been excercizing (running three miles, doing weight machines) every other day, and I've been eating dried goji berries, which have antioxidents in them. Do you think they will test me if I dont tell them I smoke herb? Do you think I should be fine?
As far as I know, you're good on tests after two weeks. Don't hold me to it, but I think I'm right. Regardless, just drink a good bit of water before you go in, and I don't think there should be any problems.
I'm not even sure if they will, but I guess I should hold off on the toking until I see the therapist if I smoke before they test me, do you think I could refuse to take the test? like, for my privacy? I think my meem would know something was up though
Why exactly are you going to see a therapist? Is it court mandated or are your parents just making you go? I don't see why they would test you in the first place if you are going to therapy on a non-drug related reason.
My therapist is pretty cool and hes all about confideniality so he knows I smoke and dosent tell my mom anything I dont want her to hear.
in nc, there is a mandatory thing for all doctors and therapists and other things to have a confidentiality thing. so what ever you tell them, or if you show up positive on a drug test, they cant tell your parents or cops or school or anything unless they have your permission
well its like a pediatrics place, so it might be wierd but I really want to smoke tomorrow, so if they want to test me, I'll just be like fuck you no, you dont have my consent
i think the hypocratic oath only applies if ur over 18. i think legally, they can tell ur rents if they ask. im not positive on that and im not even that sure, but u might wanna look up shit about the hypocratic oath
if I remember, it depends on each person. Faster metabolism maybe? anyway if you are a minor i dont think you have any rights they cant trump by talking to your parents... so I hope you truly trust your therapist
im almost positive that the only thing a therapist can tell your parents or anyone else about your session is if you say im gonna hurt myself or someone else, at least thats what mine said. You never know you might get a cool one. When i had to go one for a little bit because of my so called drug problem it turns out that the shrink was in The James Gang so i actually had a lot of fun going there.
Well I didnt get any today, and prob wont for another day or two, and I'll probably have gone to the therapist by then. Damn man, I really wanted to get some today, but that bastard kid sold the shit he was supposed to save for me a couple hours before I saw him. Man my schools so dry in the winter
