People stoned = inner workings

I think that by seeing how poeple act when stoned, you can see alot about that person's real personality, along with waht they want out of being stoned.

some poeple are really lazy when stoned, others are really active, some want to play games, some want to jsut sit and eat. of course we all get tehse urges but the balance between them all, and other things, i think gives a big insight into the inner workings of poeple

Most poeple cover up their real thoughts with socially acceptable ones, or jsut wahtever they want to show. but when your stoned, you get rid of this barrier.

ive found that poeple who love doing fun things are generally much more extroverted, but most of all, have active minds naturally, with lots of creativity and wit. poeple who like getting stooned, and mellow and stuff, are generally more introverted, and, though i dont mean to offend poeple, from my experience, these poeple are either dumber, or more boring, and while normally they may show interesting sides, or even knowlege, they are rather un-enlightened, and shallow-minded.

there are other cases of course. but they are shown by subtleties, these aresjtu generalisations. like some ppl who have really active minds, like adhd sorta stuff liek getting stoned caus its mroe comfortable. but, again, on average, those poeple are dumber. similarly, shallow eccentric wierdos can like getting high and play startrek rpg or something lol...

but yeah waht have you poeple got observatiosn on this issue.

thats a pretty cool theory you got going on there. i hear ya on a few things: for example -

hmmm...when Im stoned I like to laugh and eat. When im sober I like to laugh and eat. You might be onto something with this theory...

 

That theory i find is very true. A couple of my mates when stoned just sit back and are rather lazy, and these people in real life are really quite unintellegent. Were-as Im really quite intelligent, like doing fun things and have a very active mind. when I' stoned I love to do lots of active stuff like dance and do the robot to music (i like to think im ace at doin the robot), ride my bike, and recently ive got some cool swords an axes an i like pretending im in a gladiator theatre fightin loads of guys.

Thanx for enlightening me with your theory! I will deffinetly observe other peoples reactions when stoned to get a better understanding on my m8s.

 

yer but see its anot all to do with 'intelligence' too. or at least, academic intelligence. a mate of mine, when stoned, jsut wants to sit aorund and stuff. he gets really good grades and stuff tho. but deep inside, hes actually a really shallow person. most of his values have been tought to him, not experienced. he is right winged . everyone hates him except me, caus hes so bad in msot social contexts, tagged as a copycat because he doesnt have a mind that is trully intelligent, almsot everyhting he knows is because hes been tought it, not descovered.


contrasting, ive got a friend who really isnt that academically smart but can be really witty, and is very true to himself, loves getting up to miscief and stuff, doing fun shit and that, hes pretty street smart and is perceptive, not judgemental. he loves doing crazy stuff while high, dancing, playing games, all that stuff.

i know more of the ppl in the second category, only one in teh first, but lots of the plain 'smart=active sotner, dumb=passive stoner' generalisation

i get what your sayin but i definatley dont think the lazy passiuve ones who like to sit back and think are the shallowest ones, sometimes they are the smartest. it varies from person to person i guess, but i get where weed could provide insides to see the real side of that person.

 

lol I just posted that pic cos I'm the type who is happy to sit and chill and absorb the music, didn't like people implying I was shallow so I deemed the thread "inconceivably gay"

 

i dunno if everyone understanding waht i mean. having a passive, or less active mind doesnt mean your shallow-minded or dumb, they were jsut examples that fit the consensus greatest. a great smart person might love to get stoned over a gitty little prick gettin high, but the great smart person has a higher chance of having a passive mind that prefers conctrete over abstract concepts and thought processes, and hence, having a less actively thinkning mind.

having ana ctive mind isnt always a good thing or a favourably social thing, lots of poeple witha ctive minds are put down for being too individually thinkning which can lead to insensitivit,y social misbehavior, and even arrogant stupidity itself. actively minded people can be teh smartest or dumbest people in teh world, they have more scope of thought processes, wheras passive minded poeple tend to live more rational, sociologically normal lives and thought processes.

I always had issues with anxiety but I always just brushed it off. But once I got high and realized that hey, I fucking hate this feeling of panic and I'm gonna do something about it. Ever since then i've been making an effort to come to terms with and change my underlying anxiety disorder. It ain't easy, but I'm a little happier each day. So in short marijuana revealed me to my true self and has changed my life. Corny but true...

i was really shy when i started smoking weed. and in the begining it was somewhat overwealming to me, and i wouldnt want to do anything but sit there. eventually i got my head around it. when im stoned these days, i love talking and interacting with people, and laughing. i just go with whatever's going on, and things just seem to flow. when im alone, i love to watch the comentary o9n movies and paint and draw and write. otherwise i feel like im wasting it.

 

i get hungry
and i like to either walk around and feel things
or lay down and almost meditate thinking about what comes to mind
i lioke this feeling i get when i close my eyes, like im being pushed backwards like almost spinning
its this insane almost punding snesation, but its somehow very relaxing

i get that too sometiems. i love standing up near a bed and closing my eyes i start falling and dont notice it, i jsut felel like im floating, then realsie im on teh bed
