Where I live the record was broken for the latest measurable snow.... The old record was from 1890 and this year broke the record by one day with a tenth of an inch of snow that fell yesterday.
its a hell of a lot more tha 1/20 an inch. What if you were an ant, that 1/10th of an inch would be crippling your armies right now, NOW is it nothing? Huh huh huh?
*eyes* we got 26cm of snow in our blizzard a little while ago If I look out in my front yard, where we haven't shovelled it clean, there's about a foot and a half of snow. So, no, 1/10 of an inch isn't anything to me.
We've had similar records broken here in New England as well, with the warmest November & December in history. The temperatures are finally getting back to normal, but we still have a 20" snow deficit to date. Hotwater
We were supposed to get like a sheet of ice early this morning and my husband was driving home from work at that time.... well, it was really just wet- not ice.... But he said people were still driving like 10-20 MPH down the roads....
I dont think most people have the comprehension to understand that vehicles these days are capable of handling wet roads. Not too many of us drive around in rwd vehicles anymore.

There's about a foot of snow outside here. Dan and I walked three miles in it all three days this past weekend (three day weekend cuz of the snow, got called off because of the roads), so it really makes me appreciate the...snowless days, lol.
