Hey you all have any of you ever ran across this of been diagnosed with it by your OB/GYN or regular DR? I went to the doctor yesterday because of my cycle being so out off wack and being in so much pain I could barley stand. Gave her a document of evrything that had been happening and this was the diagnosis she gave me. She put me back on birth control a pain killer called Postel and a diabetic diet apparently this makes you insilin resistant (great) The may have to put me on a insilin medication later. Oh and it fully explains packing on the weight 30lbs at a time and not being able to lose any of it no matter what I do. I go for the ultra sound on wednesday to see how many and how big the cystis are. So now I know why I was I'm so much pain and why the messed up cycles over the last few moths. I have a lot of research to do.

I don't think they should've told you that you where PCOS until you had an ultrasound to prove that you have cysts. I have had similar problems with my periods, but ultrasounds have shown that I don't have PCOS. I went in for a laproscopy after insisting for 6 years that I'm in tons of pain during my period, and after exhausting every other problem (nothing colon/gastrically related). And they found endometriosis in me.

I had confirmed cysts a few years back but she is not ruling out endometriosis either. My symptoms just all follow pretty much to the T for pcos. Hey quick question did you pass overly huge clots with your cycle and did it last for several weeks? Sarting with spotting for 2 weeks then bleeding for like 3 weeks?

No, but I have passed huge clots the size of my palm before. My cycle has tended to be MIA..I'd go 9 months without even seeing the sign of one, gained a ton of weight. When my body decided it was finally going to have one, I lost all the weight I had gained. And I wasn't pregnant at all during this time. It was very messed up. My doctor's don't know how to explain it so they just stuck me on birth control. Great way to make everything better. It's like the best answer for everything that has to do with female problems. I've been on and off b/c since I was 14. I'm beginning to think that taking it that young has caused some of my problems. In which case I can thank my mom for getting me put on it. I've also asked my gyno about wanting to have kids and how this problem I have might affect that. My mom had trouble conceiving. I don't want to wait too long to have kids and never be able to conceive. It's a very frustrating thought. I mean I've had the "normal" cysts that every women gets, but I'd be in excruciating pain 3 weeks out of the month to the extent that I'd miss school. I'm at a loss. Since my laproscopy though things have felt alot better concerning my pain. Anythings better than feeling like you're ready to kill someone 'cause you hurt so bad, eh? Yeah sorry for typing out all my problems. I hope that they figure out what is wrong with you. I just don't think they should give you diabetic medicine without knowing for sure you're insulin resistant and all that. Doesn't seem like good practice, unless they've tested your glucose. Then that's great lol. I've just had alot of doctors brush one thing off as another and completely avoid my problem so much that I'm very skeptical..
