    Hey people,

Come the first week of January, I'll be moving out to Victoria. Could be only for awhile, could be permanent, depending on how things go. Just wanted to see who all here is from Victoria, so that we could maybe meet up, if anyone's interested. I won't know many people in town, and could use all the friends I can get! :D

Feel free to PM or email me anytime, if you're interested!

    Peace,
    James

I'm in Vancouver- not exactly what you're looking for, but I'm nearby!

Vancouver's not too far away! We should hang out when I get there. :)

I live in victoria :) I love it! I was born and raised in Victoria, moved up island to Ladysmith, and got back down here as soon as I could. I've travelled to a few countries in Europe and the Middle East and it makes me appreciate Victoria all the more. See my thread on free hugs in Victoria.

Awesome. Victoria's still a pretty free-lovin', hippy friendly place ... although it is becoming something else ... I'm not too sure what. First, I thought it was industrialisation, commercialisation, etc. Now we have a very sudden rise in immigration, and it's taking a very cultural turn. I'm starting to question Victoria's passion for what it is (or was), as it's becoming a segregated place where certain areas are primarily white protestant, and some are asian immigrants, etc. I'm hoping, though, that we can somehow counteract this... there's just so little hippies and so little time with such rising rates of immigration. Naturally, if you were an immigrant, you would want to be with people you could talk to and understand as well.. But it's really turning into lumps of people with loads of misunderstanding. Still a beautiful city though, and I don't think I'll ever leave it.

Well, I live just off Oak Bay, actually.

On any given day, you can usually see me meandering about Douglas street, though. :p

    How about you?

I live just off Shelbourne. It's down the road from Oak Bay. On any given day, I will be at school at Camosun or at work at Big Bro.'s. hahaha. However, it would be cool to meet a hipforumer. You should pm me if you wanna meet up.
