This might not be a real martini, but i got it in a martini loung in Atlantic City. It was the best i've ever had. It had some kind of candy coat shat around the edge of the glass, vodka, rasberries, and i think grenadine maybe.

I'm a modified bond martini man:
    3 parts gin
    1 part vermouth
    1 part vodka
shaken, not stirred (I actually prefer to stir, shaking it may cause breakage when i'm stoned off my toes)
I usually put a little bit of strawberry jam around the top of the glass (rubbed with finger). Adds a little bit of sweetness.

if you shake it youl bruse the vermouth!
also when pouring into the mixture you gotta hit the side of the thing not the ice, atleast following anaul retentive martini ceramonye
also "dryer martinies" are catagorized by less and less vermouth,
also all the ones i have seen you mix water in with the ice, its not just solid alchol for those who might be thinking its like a shot, but its more like a mixed drink
also FYI with a cocktail onoin its called a gimble
