Does anyone here attend university in OR or WA? If so, which? Can you give me any insight on the town. Will I meet other 'hippy' kids? How far away from the beach? How big is the town?

I want to move somewhere that isnt a big town, but not too small. I also want to be able to go to vegetarian restaurants. And some place that theres headie nuggets all around. Ha.

    Any ideas?

I would look at the U of Oregon then, Eugene is awesome. Its very free and open place to life (well mostly) the Saturday Market here is THE place to be if you want to find others and find yourself too. Eugene has a lot of hippies and open minds, tree huggers, gays, ecowarriors, you name it they are here. Coast is about an hour away and the mountains are too. Southern Oregon University is pretty nice too.

If a beach is important to you, Oregon would be the better choice of the two states. Also, I'm not too sure about Oregon, but all the universities in Washington (the major ones at least) are large and in large cities. For example.. the University of Washington has something like 40,000 students. My town, an hour south of UW... has a whopping population of 14,000. Uh... yep, i'm sure that was no help, but I thought I'd share that. Oregon has the climate, the kynd folk and the atmosphere all while keeping a small-town feeling.
