I got a couple of piercings with one of those piercing guns 3 days ago. I know what they normally feel like for a few days afterwards, so this does not seem normal to me. I got one ear cartilage pierced and a 4th lobe piercing.
They are really really tender. When I turn over during the night, if I accidently lay my head down on that side, it wakes me up. My husband put his head over on mine, gently, and it hurt really bad. There is no swelling at all on the cartilage one, and only a little on the other one. From time to time they feel like a stinging sort of pain like right after the piercing was done.
Is this normal? should I leave them in or take them out?

In the future, don't get piercings done with guns.
good info on why - http://wiki.bmezine.com/index.php/Piercing_gun

What jewelry do you have in the new piercings?
Piercings will be sore for a few days...especially cartilage ones.

yep, I did some reading and found what you said- cartilage shouldnt be pierced with the gun. it's just a regular post style earring. I found that some ice and ibuprofen helped.

    thanks:bandana:
