Ahaha that made me laugh XD
My favorite as of yet is Vancouver...mountains, Stanley Park, trees, city, amazing people to meet, lots to do, plenty of like-minded folk :) I've lived here 6 months and every day I still get that "Gasp! I can't believe how perfect it is here" feeling :)
And I dunno, Newfoundland (or the maritimes in general) has the sweetest, most down-to-earth and loving people I've ever met! Plus it has the ocean, which is fucking stunning!

Even though I've only been to Smogtown, my vote goes to Montreal or Quebec City. It's the most "European" like city we have here in Canada. Toronto gets my vote as worst city mind you.
Plus as a cyclist, they have the best setup for bikes.

I don't see Fredericton on that list. Good Ol' Freddy Beach. I voted the closest to it...where I live now, Saint John. NB all the way!

I haven't been to enough cities, to be honest, but I love Winnipeg, so I voted for Winnipeg.

Vancouver obviously. Its so nice there, ppl are good to.
I live in edmonton, and i hate it here. Its to cold and dirty. Here people want to fight you if you look at them the wrong way. I cant wait to move away from the dump, although its not as bad as regina.
I dont mind Saskatchewan just not regina.

I have to reiterate the "why no Victoria?" point. Victoria is such a beautiful city and I fucking love living there. It should've been on the list.

I have to keep stressing Victoria.. although it's becoming more like Vancouver now. And, well if you grew up in Victoria, you would see this as a very sad thing. You have to be in Victoria for a long time to understand the fine differences between cities regardless of size. I really don't like big cities. I like smallish cities. I liked Victoria for the busking, the arts and crafts, the music, the culture, everything. Now it seems more like panhandling, crafting tools for the art of doing drugs, car alarms and screaming drivers instead of marimba bands, and an overwhelming immigration of people from asia who clump together for security and comfort... and we now have separate "races" instead of a mixing cultural and ethnic mosaic.

    It's really turning very sad.

    EDIT:

Not to mention someone asked to use the bathroom in our non-profit agency and ended up going into an office and stealing someone's wallet, cell phone, and discman. Two days later, the alarms went off in the middle of the night signalling when two rocks were thrown through the front doors and someone trashed the place. People in the agency kept saying, "It's this neighbourhood. We need to move." It was entirely heart-breaking for me as it was the neighbourhood I had grown up in. The neighbourhood where we left our doors unlocked and I walked home from blocks and blocks away at midnight when I was 11.

yeah i know what you mean about victoria. well sort of, i didnt grow up there but my dad did. its a beautiful city and what a shame that its becoming like vancouver. whenever we go there to visit grandparents, my dad is amazed by how different it is from when he was younger. hell point to an area and say "that used to be all farmland" and it will be suburbs or "thats where i used to hang out" and there will be drug addicts and prostitutes sitting on the street or yelling at each other.

i've only been to two cities, so my vote shouldn't really count. i voted toronto, because of its multicultural setting. i love all the people there, and its such a beautiful city to just live in.
