My little cat has what I'm pretty sure are pin worms. I have absolutly no idea how he got them as he and his brother have been an indoor cats their whole lifes, but that's kind of beside the point now. I really distrust the chemical filled nast that passes for pet medication and would much rather treat this naturaly if possible. Does anyone know how to get rid of these things? He and his big bro already eat garlic everyday for flea prevention.

By the way, I'm new to this board. Hi!

please get your cat some medicine from the vet.

people always come to this board and ask this question. first of all everything is made from chemicals . in fact there will be less chemicals in some worm medicine from the vet because most medicine comes from plants and they isolate the benefical chemicals. When you use "natural" medicine you get more chemicals because you get everything from that plant.

Also is the garlic working for controlling fleas? because kitty can get worms from eating fleas when they clean themselves.

and another reason to go to the vet is when you use your natural remidies certain chemicals effect cats differently then they do humans.

I concur that you should get some dewormer from your vet because your cat already has them. Don't bother with the stuff from Wal-mart of most of the pet stores dewormers. Dogs, cats, horses, etc should be regularly dewormed. Your cat could have gotten them from a number of different things. Anyways, it's better to be safe than sorry.

I would argue that there is a marked difference in chemicals that are consentrated and syntheticaly isolated. My personal experiance using natural medicine has been I feel more healthy with fewer weird side effects.

Yes, the garlic has made a difference in the fleas. I still see one or two, but their populations are down and a good combing keeps them at bay for quite awile.

Thanks for the advice. I'm making an appt.
