Just brought to light by the Freedom of Information Act.

Look for this same tech to be used within the next 5 years for domestic "riot control"...

Sort of like how cops are tasering anyone they feel like now, including unarmed children...

    I don't know.

    Here what i do know:

The video of that incident showed a bunch of students asking for the pig to stop tasering, but i didn't see any of them move a muscle to stop it.

What ever happened to the student movements of the past?

I've seen footage of our parents going toe to toe with National Guard troops and now no one can even confront a campus pig wannabe?

    pathetic.

the result of using this weapon will be immediate and over whelming retalitory action. this is why water cannons are used. piss people off too much and they stage a revolution

[IMG]VIDEO: US unveils new heat-ray weapon| Thu, Jan 25 2007 - The US Army has unveiled a new heat ray gun to tackle disruptive crowds.

Also there were some mock ups of a 'super soldier' armour . It looked scarey.

This is a earlier version i believe. i could not find any new pictures. this is close. Bulletproof, bomb proof and grease proof - ok not the last one.

Why ?. It will be just like every other piece of machinery. If it is destroyed they will replace it. I'm sure it will not get into active use, now, anyway.

It'll show up during the election season in the U.S. in the 'free speech' zones along with the concrete bunkers, barb wire, iron bars, and tear gas.

The free speech zone at the 2004 Democratic National Convention. I'm not making this up.

Sad thing is that that speech zone looks like a sad thing.

RNC I don't know. I know that Bush was originally scheduled to shuttle back and forth between the convention and 911 activities. They delayed the convention to late August to run it up right near the 911 anniversary to try to milk as much out of it as possible. He expected to be greeted as a hero, but things had gone so sour for him in NY by that time that he only showed up for the convention speech.

There was unrest in NY during the campaign season that didn't show up on the news. You have to pick up these events on satellite feeds or watch news shows that originate outside the U.S. I do give some credit to NY for allowing the anti-Bush march and for the people not resorting to violence during that event.
