Do people watch the news in America? If so which one would have the highest ratings?

Personally, the only news I found to be good news in America was on the Daily Show ... and that is supposed to be a Comedy program, but still is rather poignant on most issues - if you are smart enough to weed out the satire.

Other than that ... either CNN or MSNBC ... Fox News is way too conservative and controlled by the Bush clan to put on anything any the way of poignant news.

i prefer to watch the same story on all three stations, get the whole tale, not just the skewed versions. i don't trust any of those corporate news fuckers, not a single one.

I wouldn't consider myself an american...I was Americanized if you can dig the difference

I was born abroad, in Germany, have lots of family still there...i lived there for a good portion of my childhood. moved to the states, finished high school, and now Im in college after a 6 year hiatus....if it was up to me, i would have never moved here...but my dad was american, and the choice wasnt up to me.

Have any of you brits visited the states??

Do Americans call chips 'chips' or 'fries'?
Don't they refer to crisps as 'chips' or 'potato chips'?
    That's fuckin silly.
Also, the American pronounciation of 'oregano' is a giggle.

chips are chips, fries are fries. anything else is goofy. crisps are nothing. biscuits are biscuits, not cookies. pop, cola, soda pop, coke, etc, are regional variations on undrinkable carbonated garbage.

how you you pronounce oregano? i say "orEGano"

only the ones who don't like to confess they're americans. usually they're born in the very american society around military bases in germany.
