Dippin' nugs in Cognac

I have heard of people dipping their nugs in hennesey and letting them dry, then smoking them. Does anyone know if this is just a myth or does it work?

does it work? well that depends on what the anticipated result is.

assuming you only dip it quickly and let it dry immediately (but without heating it) then it should NOT lose a significant level of THC. but it wont be more potent.

it WILL alter the flavor. but it depends on your taste as to whether it will alter it for the better.

any difference in potency could be attributed to a -slight- loss of cannabinoids or from the addition of a small amount of alcohol. remember vaporized alcohol can be absorbed through the lungs where it goes straight to the bloodstream. they make alcohol vaporizers now, and apparently a shot goes a much longer way like that. but the amount that would be in, say, a blunt, may be negligable, considering the alcohol will be the first part of the liquor to evaporate.

so will it work? it will in that you can still smoke the bud. it wont if you're looking for something to make it stronger.

now i'd say it would be a waste of perfectly good brandy. depending on the type you get, you're talking about at LEAST a 40 dollar bottle of liquor....much more for good stuff.....if you're going to do this, dont expect much for your money!

 

It would be tasty! hell, I may try tokin up before it dries...now I really want to do it. Maybe with some whiskey first...this is a GREAT idea!

Just buy a cognac flavered blunt if you really want the cognac flaver without ruining your buds.

just keep smoking them and then'll you'll do better, plus taking shotguns from them is so much fun

 

Blunts fuck me up! I never cough and take to many hits, that are to big to beggin with, I always go way past my target because its there ligth and in my fingers. I always come close to passing out and feel like my heart is guna explode, but I love it the entire time.

 

it would be tastey..but i don't see it making it stronger..drink the cognac than smoke, much better that way if you ask me

has anyone here successfully smoked wet weed? its a pain in the arse when you finally get it to burn. no point really, like putting cognac into a bong, its pretty silly

 

Can you dip weed in other, non-soluble to THC, flavors? Would dipping a nug in vanilla extract flavor it at all? Could you skin some blueberries, dry the skins, and smoke them with your weed to get the flavor without dishing out the cash for some high-end blueberry weed? I have no idea if there's any basis for this at all, but I'm curious.

 

But the alcohol would burn, and that heat would evaporate the wetness, leaving you with burning weed and a nice cognac flavor.

 

thats not how it works. if the alchohol set alight, your whole joint would go up in flame. but that wont happen because there is more water in cognac than alcohol. thus, you may be able to evapourate the alcohol but if you do that, there will still be water on the joint or bong and youd have to keep heating it to evapourate that and by that point youve been holdin a lighter to it for ages and not smoked anything

anyway why would cognac taste good when burnt? has anyone thought about this? or blueberry? when you burn things they dont just flavour the smoke like the initial product. the flavour in blueberries is totally different to in 'blueberry weed'. using flavouring essences on the other hand may work, though id suggest taking it a drop at a time.

Cognac is on cigarillos and those taste good. But yeah, I have re-thought it and the idea isn't that good lol.

 

Damn, they must make non-alcoholic vanilla extract, but we don't have any. The stuff we have is 35% alcohol, and I put a little on my finger and dabbed it on a few bits of shake, just enough to get a hit and test the taste. I'll try it tomorrow when it dries; I really want it to do something.

 

Good God! That left the most hateful, disgusting aftertaste I could have imagined. If anyone else happened to be stupid enough to think of trying that, please, please don't.

the only thing like that ive done like that was to dip a joint in vodka (the only alchohol i can drink straight) and let it sit overnight to dry. it sure made the weed stick together so no cherry bombs on my pants or carseat but i would only do that to a joint or if need be a blunt to minimize cannabanoid loss (thc is alchohol soluable dude)
