I remember seeing this statistic that compared a vegetarian diet to an average meat eaters diet. It was like you have save __ amount of cows, __ amount of chickens, etc. this year alone thanks to becoming a vegetarian. I'm trying to find it with little luck. I think it may of been from Peta but I'm browising their site and can't find it. Anyone familiar with what I'm talking about?

I'm curious b/c my boyfriend has made the jump from total omni-vore to pesco-vegetarianism!! after 2 years of watching me and proclaiming he could never be a veggie (with the occasional sushi) he's on board and been so for a month! but he starts work at a steakhouse this week and his favorite meat was steak!!!!

I want to keep him encouraged and I think that particular statistic, or if any of you know of anything else, would help him stay the course since he is fairly new to it. His reasons for switching over was animal compassion and health, though I do think he leans more with the animal compassion.

    Any recommendations?

Good news, hope he sticks to it.

My boyfriend jumped from omnivore to full vegan within a few days after we got together and he realised straight away i was right. He said he was just eating meat because he never really thought about it

Im not sure of the site youre after but good luck with the encouragement!
